A Defence of Conscious Choice
Choice is the only thing that isn't a tool.
No object arrives with its worth attached. We decide it by what we choose to count, and where we agree to stop looking.
Change the unit, move the boundary, and the same object turns from indulgence to virtue. Both ways of seeing can mislead — feeling without rigour is seduction, whilst rigour without feeling is arithmetic that has forgotten what it was counting. My work needs both: it began in tailoring and leather, where we are asked to love things and rarely asked whether the love holds up. The same question, as it turns out, fits almost anything made with intent.
ADVISORY
For the people who have to stand behind what they make.
I help brands turn what they already do well into claims that survive scrutiny and the regulation closing in around them into something they can act on. Selective, and by introduction.
