The Silk Dupion Jacket boasts its level of handwork at this price point. It features a fully hand-stitched floating canvas, hand-attached half-lining from Bemberg, Edwardian shoulders, hand-pick-stitched pockets, hand-sewn buttonholes, and many other details.
 
In terms of construction, we have opted out of any cotton padding and the usual horsehair canvas for a more lightweight and breathable wool canvas. Idiosyncratically English features can be found on the garment, with relatively straight lapels and moderately-opened quarters. The Notch variant also comes with hip patch pockets such that the jacket can be worn on both formal and casual occasions.
 
Fabric is sourced from a British family-owned silk business. The tasteful slubby texture is achieved when two or more larvae cooperate to create a single cocoon, making no two silk dupion jackets alike.
 
On top of the seven standard colorways, you can also select 'Other' shall you have a particular shade of silk dupion in mind. Simply put the color which is the most identical to the one you have in mind, and we will revert shortly with several options. With more than 210 shades of silk dupion to choose from, you can rest assured your Silk Dupion Jacket is almost certainly one of a kind. Handmade by an ex-Savile Row trained cutter in Beijing, China, with approximately 80 hours of handwork. Every Silk Dupion Jacket comes with a Nakata AUT-05 hanger.
